On the 25th of August, Ms. Indira Shobhan decided to conduct an Employment Guarantee Tour . Ms. Indira Shobhan said, she would prepare for employment assurance drive in Huzurabad Assembly constituency.
Addressing the media, she said, “I have decided to go on a job assurance trip in support of field assistants, nurses and guest lecturers from the 27th of this month.” When asked about her future course of action after resigning from the YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) Ms. Indira said, “I have no plans to join any party at present, including the Congress (Indian National Congress.)”
She said, “I am preparing for a statewide struggle with public issues as the agenda.”
She even criticised the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President and Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) for putting T. Harish Rao forward to handle the Huzurabad Assembly by poll campaign. She asked, “KCR should say why Huzurabad by-election responsibilities are not given to KCR .”
When asked if she would contest for the Huzurabad Assembly constituency by election as an independent candidate, Ms. Indira said, ” I will not contest in Huzurabad by-election. I will fight only on behalf of the unemployed people.”
It is to be noted, the Huzurabad Assembly constituency would soon have by poll. All the major parties like the TRS, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) are in the fray to contest for the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) seat.
Meanwhile, Indira Shobhan was in headlines in the Telangana politics after she resigned from the YSRTP, the new party launched by Ms. Y.S. Sharmila.
