The Telangana Education Minister Ms. Sabitha Indra Reddy, said, from the 1st of September,only physical classes would be held in Telangana schools and universities.

Addressing the media, on the reopening of the school, Ms. Indra Reddy said, only physical classes will be conducted and all the students must come to school without fail.

The Telangana Government issued an official notice regarding the same. Against this backdrop, the Telangana Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy and the Panchayati Raj Minister Mr. Errabelli Dayakar Rao held a video conference with district collectors.

The Education Minister emphasised on the mandatory need to attend physical classes from the 1st of September.  In addition, she warned that private educational institutions over collecting the excess fee and asserted that the fee should be collected according to GO No. 46.

The minister explained that parents are also ready to send their children back to school and opined that the decision on the resumption was taken after assessing the corona conditions.

The minister said the sarpanch, corporator, and mayor should take care of the sanitation responsibilities in the school. She said she would take feedback from the DEO every day on what arrangements are being made. The minister further said that an isolation room would be set up in welfare hostels in the wake of the Novel Coronavirus. The minister also directed the private educational institutions to take appropriate precautions in the matter of transportation of students.

It is to be noted, The schools and educational institutions of Telangana are set to reopen for offline classes from the 1st of September. The decision was taken by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government after considering the current Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus situation in the State.

 

On The 23rd of August, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, held a high level meeting to discuss the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and take a final call regarding the reopening of schools and universities. Taking all the reports and conditions into consideration, the TRS Government and the State Education Department decided to reopen all public and private educational institutions including Anganwadi centres in the State.
