On the 27th of April, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) which was founded in 2001, today completed 20 years of its foundation.
K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana and the President of the TRS, celebrated the day as a small event and hoisted the Party’s flag at the TRS headquarters in Hyderabad.
Due to the ongoing lockdown in the wake of the Novel Coronavirus, the event witnessed by only a few senior leaders and Party cadres, following the norms of social distancing.
On the directive of Mr. Rao, all Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs,) Members of the Legislative Council (MLCs,) ministers and other leaders hoisted Party flags at their respective places at 9:30A.M.
The biggest achievement of the TRS Government was statehood to Telangana, which was achieved statehood in the year 2014.
KCR said, “The TRS government has done miracles in the past six years… with several achievements in sectors such as welfare, electricity, drinking water, irrigation, agriculture, industry and so on. The government has solved many problems that people had been facing for decades.”.
K.T. Rama Rao, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister of Telangana, shared the struggle of the Party in the initial years. KTR said, “The party has journeyed from Jala Drishyam (party office on the banks of Hussain Sagar) in 2001 to Sujala Drishyam now.”
