Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, announced the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) candidate for the upcoming Munugode by election.
On the 7th of October, Friday, the TRS announced Koosu Kuntla, a former Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) and constituency member as the party candidate. The decision was taken by the Party President KCR, with the unanimous decision of the Telangana Cabinet.
The TRS Party took to Twitter and made an official announcement in this regard. The Twitter post read, “Former MLA and Constituency @Koosukuntla_TRS has been announced as the candidate of TRS party in the previous by-election by party chief CM KCR.”

Notably, the announcement of the TRS Candidate came on the day when the Election Commission of India, released an official notification regarding the Munugode by election.
According to the ECI announcement, the election notification for the by election would be released on the 7th of October and the nomination for the by election would be from the 7th of October till the 14th of October. Scrutiny of the filed nomination would be on the 15th of October and withdrawal of nomination would be on the 17th of October.
The by election for the vacant post of the Munugode Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) would be held on the 3rd of November. The counting of the votes would be held on the 6th of November, following which results would be announced.
It is to be noted, after the resignation of Mr. Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy (the former Indian National Congress leader) as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Munugode, the seat fell vacant, paving the way for a by election.
Political parties like the TRS and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are leaving no stone unturned to strengthen the party and win the Munugode Assembly by election.
