Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, postponed his Warangal and Hanamkonda tour for an indefinite period of time.
It is to be noted, Mr. K Chandrasekhar Rao was scheduled to tour Warangal and Hanamkonda on Wednesday, the 10th of November. The Telangana Chief Minister was planning to go for a one day tour and review the matters pertaining to outer ring road south of Warangal. Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao was scheduled to meet with the public representatives today, to check up on civic infrastructure development works in Warangal and other municipalities, construction of railway over bridges and other development works.
However, due to the release of the 12 Members of the Legislative Council (MLC) election, the tour has been called off.
On the 9th of November, the Election Commission of India (ECI) released the schedule for the MLC election from nine local authorities’ constituencies for 12 MLC seats in Telangana. The election for 12 MLC seats in Telangana is scheduled to be held on the 10th of December. As per the EC, notifications for the biennial polls would be issued on the 16th of November, which is also the starting date of nomination filing. The last date to file the nomination for the election would be the 23rd of November. The scrutiny of nominations would be done on the 24th of November and the last date for withdrawal of candidatures is the 26th of November.
The polling on the 10th of December would begin from 8:00 A.M., and would continue till 4:00 P.M. The results of the 12 Legislative Council Election seats would be announced on the 14th of December.
Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao’s Warangal and Hanamkonda visit is expected to be planned again after the MLC elections in December.
