A residential complex comprising 1,000 double bedroom houses to be christened KCR Towers is being ready for inauguration at Tekulapalli near Khammam.
According to officials, the complex is likely to be inaugurated by the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K. T. Rama Rao soon.
District Collector RV Karnan inspected the construction site on the 18th of January and reviewed the progress of works.
He instructed the contractors to finish the pending works on a war-footing by engaging additional workforce. He wanted the works executed day and night so as to meet the deadline set for the inauguration of the houses.
The blocks where construction was completed should be equipped with facilities like electricity, drinking water, drainage and internal roads. Contractors found delaying execution of works would be blacklisted, Karnan warned.
He also inspected the complex’s entrance arch, fencing, health centre and provisions store that were being constructed at the double bedroom houses complex. The Collector directed the officials to develop greenery and ensure water supply to each house.’
Earlier in the day the Collector visited the Covid-19 vaccination centre at the District Hospital and observed the ongoing vaccination. He interacted with the health workers who were receiving the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 vaccine.
He wanted the health officials to record if anyone complained of reactions after receiving the vaccine shot. Those immunised must be kept in observation for 30 minutes.
