K.T. Rama Rao, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister and Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Minister of Telangana, inaugurated the HITEC City-Raidurg metro.
K.T. Rama Rao and P. Ajay Kumar, the Transport Minister of Telangana, on the 29th of November, flagged off the Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) services for the HITEC City-Raidurg section.
After the trials of the metro between the HITEC City and Raidurg Station, the metro is finally open to commuters.
At the inauguration event, P. Ajay Kumar and KTR expressed their happiness over the successful launch of the stretch between HITEC City and Raidurg. Ajay Kumar and KTR established, after this launch, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi would soon flag off the Metro services between Jubilee Bus Station (JBS) and Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS.)
Recently, the HMRL started a trial run of the Metro train between JSB and MGBS .
After the security trial, K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana would launch the services officially, on the occasion of Sankranti in January 2020.
The 1.5 km long corridor from HITEC City to Raidurg is expected to benefit approximately 40,000 passengers daily and would also help in traffic reduction during peak office timings.
