KTR Assures Metro Services In Old Hyderabad

K.T. Rama Rao, the Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Minister of Telangana, on the 11th of March, assured metro services in Old Hyderabad.

Addressing the Budget session 2020, KTR said metro works are  soon going to extend to Old City. He said, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is soon going to acquire land for the metro completion.

Speaking in the assembly, KTR said the decision was taken to provide chaos free metro services to the citizens of Telangana.

KTR said, “With the blessings of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, more funds have been allocated to the development of Hyderabad and the main focus is to improve transportation.”   The State Government released a fund of Rs. 250 crores for the metro services, recently in the Budget session.

T. Harish Rao, the Finance Minister of Telangana, while presenting the Budget 2020-2021, said phase 2 of the metro project will consist of two corridors — BHEL to Lakdikapool and Raidurg to Shamshabad.

Approximately 4 lakh commuters use metro services on a regular basis, if the metro services would be extended to Old City, the citizens would be benefited with hassle free travel experience.
