Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, the Information Technology and Urban Development Minister of Telangana, extended financial support to a tribal girl for her education.

On the 8th of November, Monday, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao extended support to K. Srilatha, a native of Bhadradri Kothagudem district. She belongs to an underprivileged tribal (adivasi) community. She scored 97 % in her intermediate examination and wishes to do engineering. However, due to her poor financial conditions, she is unable to study further. She completed her intermediate education from the Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Junior Colleges TTWRJC (G) in Nagarkurnool in the year 2021. Besides securing 97 % in her intermediate examination, K. Srilatha also secured 919 rank in JEE ( Joint Entrance Examination )(Advanced) in the Scheduled Caste (ST) Category.

With the good rank, she also secured a seat at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Varanasi for her B. Tech (Bachelors of Technology) degree.

Later, on Monday, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao invited K. Srilatha, his father Mr. Balakrishna and mother Ms. Rada to Hyderabad. There he handed over the required financial assistance for her further education.

The Telangana Minister took to Twitter and said, “It gives immense pleasure to support a hardworking and talented student like Srilatha.”
