K.T.Rama Rao, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister of Telangana, on the 24th of August, met Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri in Delhi.
The meeting was regarding the balance money releases of Rs. 2,537 crores to Telangana ULBs under Amrut, SBM and other schemes.
After the meeting, KTR addressed the media and said, during the meeting they took key discussions on the developments being made in Telangana.
The duo also discussed the new Municipal Act, implementation of Pattana Pragathi and other schemes of Telangana.
KTR also appealed to the union minister on the release of funds i.e, around Rs. 217 crores under the Swacch Bharat scheme, Rs. 351 crores under Amrut scheme and Rs. 783 crores under 15th finance commission grants to Hyderabad and other places of Telangana.
Besides, the funds to be released to the state, the revival of Mamunuru airport in Warangal has also brought to the notice of the minister and also requested to include Warangal under the Udan scheme for which he reacted positively, said the minister.
KTR said, “The Union Minister has agreed for the revival of Warangal airport and assured to send a team for the survey.”
According to sources, the meeting was initially organised in March. However, due to the Novel Coronavirus the meeting was delayed.
