With this, it could be said, the TRS Government is planning to merge the civilian area under the Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC.)
The tweet got both positive and negative responses from netizens. However, a majority of people of Telangana agreed with the merger and retweeted Mr. K.T. Rama Rap’s tweet with a yes.
With the merger of SCB and the GHMC, drinking water issues, drainage issues and broken roads would be resolved, making it better for the people of Telangana. The cantonment area under the SCB has bad roads, potholes, and the area faces frequent power cuts and drinking water supply problems. The merger would not only solve the aforementioned problems but would also bring development of the area.
However, a final decision would be taken after rounds of meetings and detailed discussion with the SCB members and GHMC officials.
Stay tuned for further updates.
