KTR Predicts BRS Return to Power, Challenges Congress on Local Polls

BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) has predicted that the party will return to power in Telangana, claiming that public dissatisfaction with the Congress government is growing. He said people want former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao to lead the State again.

Speaking at a meeting with BRS leaders from Amberpet on Friday, KTR claimed that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had only one more year in office. He accused the Congress government of failing to address farmers’ problems, power shortages and drinking water concerns.

KTR also criticised the government’s handling of El Niño preparations and water resources. He alleged that the State had failed to use available water properly and accused Congress leaders of targeting the Kaleshwaram project for political reasons.

He further criticised both the Congress and BJP, saying neither party was adequately protecting Telangana’s interests.

KTR challenged the Congress government to hold local body elections, claiming the BRS could perform strongly. He also urged party workers to unite for the Graduate MLC elections and accused the Congress of failing to fulfil promises made to students and unemployed youth.
