Hyderabad: BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) criticized the Congress government for declaring houses in Kukatpally, built in the 1980s, as illegal, despite issuing degrees to 20,000 people during its tenure. Speaking at a media conference in Hyderabad, KTR vowed to stand by the poor and shield them from what he called “bulldozers sent by Congress leader Revant Reddy.”
KTR assured that the BRS government would examine the progress of Sewage Water Treatment Plants (STPs) and Strategic Nala Development Program (SNDP) works in the city. He emphasized the party’s commitment to supporting slum dwellers and standing firm with the legal cell to challenge potential demolitions.
He also criticized the Congress and Majlis leaders for clashing over hydro collection in Nampally, questioning how a radar station project, which allegedly harms the environment, was approved. KTR further challenged the opposition’s plan to bring Rs. 50,000 crores for the beautification of Musi River, labeling it an ill-conceived policy that would ultimately harm the poor by threatening their homes.
“We will take the sewage treatment projects to the people and ensure they understand the government’s plans,” KTR added.
