Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, the Information Technology and Urban Development Minister of Telangana is in Paris to attend the Ambition India Business Forum 2021.
It is to be noted, Mr. Emmanuel Lenain, the Ambassador of France, extended the invitation for the Ambition India 2021 conference to Mr. K.T. Rama Rao. Accepting the invitation, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao flew to Paris. He was accompanied by Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, the Principal Secretary for IT and Industries and other senior officials of the TRS.
Mr. K.T. Rama Rao left for France on the 27th of October, Wednesday and attended the event on Friday, the 29th of October.
During the event, held at the French Senate, Paris, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, a leader of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) highlighted the growth and development of business in the Telugu State. He addressed the event as a keynote speaker and highlighted ‘‘Growth: Drafting the future of Indo-French relations in a post-covid era.’
During his speech, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao said, “Though Telangana is the youngest state in India, it a progressive, dynamic and developing one.” He invited French companies to invest and do business in Telangana. Justifying his proposal for the French companies, the TRS Minister said the Telangana Government under the leadership of Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao has friendly policies and ecosystem for industrial growth.
He said, “While national policies are the prerogative of the Union Government in our federal structure, states also enjoy considerable autonomy in multiple operational issues like allotment of land, providing approval and permissions, helping companies get trained manpower, and preferential procurement policies.” He further said, “Telangana is the most progressive state in India. Our policy allows for self-certification and also promises 15-day clearances by statute. And if we don’t deliver within the 15-day window, on the 16th day, it is deemed approved.”
Mr. Rao said under the KCR Government the seven year old State developed rapidly with a huge scope of development of business and Industries in the region.
After the Ambition India 2021 event, the Telangana Cabinet Minister would also hold round tables on doing business in India including healthcare, climate, digital transformation as well as agribusiness. The Minister is scheduled to hold high level meetings with French investors as well as facilitate B2B meetings between French and Indian companies.
