After the successful Tank Bund’s Sunday Funday event, the Telangana Government is set to organise ‘Ek Shaam Charminar Ke Naam, event.
Scheduled on the 31st of October, Sunday, the one of a kind event would be held at Charminar in Old Hyderabad. The Telangana Municipal Administration and Urban Development department is organising the event and made all the arrangements.
The event would showcase various cultural shows, art and craft activities and dance performances. Along with the Charminar event, the Sunday Funday event of Tank Bund, Necklace road is also going to be held as usual between 3:00 P.M., to 10:00 P.M.
On the 29th of October, Friday, Mr. Arvind Kumar, the Special Chief Secretary of the Urban Development Department took to Twitter and said, “It’s on at TankBund and Charminar this Sunday.”
The Charminar event is also expected to be a huge hit amongst the people of Hyderabad, like the Sunday Funday event was. However, a group of people are expressing disappointment over the event and demanded to stop the Charminar event. Recently, Islamic Scholar Mr. Hussamuddin Jafar Pasha urged the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government to cancel the program. The major reason behind this was involvement of Muslim youths in dance and music event and disrespecting Azan (prayer) timing of Mosque, which is evening 5:00 P.M.
Similar to the Tank Bund’s Sunday Funday, Ek Sham Charminar Ke Nam is also going to be a major attraction for the people on Sunday.
