Hyderabad: Telangana Roads and Buildings (R&B), Cinematography minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy Thanked union minister Nitin Gadkari for his positive response for state government’s proposal to transfer 14 state highways (SH) into National Highways (NH). Venkat Reddy said that he will work hard to achieve maximum funds and projects from the union government.
Venkat Reddy addressed the media at Hyderabad on Monday and said that he noticed potholes and bad roads before he took charge as minister. “ Earlier governments filled potholes with gravel. We should properly maintain the roads. I have directed authorities to make roads pothole free. Telangana got less funds for road infrastructure from the center when compared to Andhra Pradesh. We will focus on it and request the center to sanction funds for new roads.
Venkat Reddy said that the government is committed to fulfill six guarantees promised to the public. “We have already started implementing two guarantees. We will start two more guarantees from December 28, 2023 on the eve of the formation day of the Congress party. We assure that all guarantees will be fulfilled within 100 days,” Venkat Reddy said.
