Hyderabad: In a recent interaction with the media in Hyderabad, Minister Komatireddy Venkatreddy made scathing remarks against former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), alleging that the repercussions of his actions while in office are now catching up with him.

Venkatreddy didn’t mince words as he criticized KCR’s governance decisions, citing the renaming of Yadagirigutta as one of his initial mistakes, accompanied by allegations of corruption. He pledged to initiate an inquiry into these matters post-election and restore the original name of Yadagirigutta from Yadadri.

Furthermore, the minister attributed the region’s drought conditions to what he described as the “sins” of KCR, drawing a symbolic connection between rain and the Congress party. He accused the former CM of mismanaging projects like Kaleshwaram, asserting that they were marred by negligence and misuse in the guise of religious sentiment.

Venkatreddy also took aim at KCR’s alleged role in fostering defections from other parties into the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), claiming that it had caused significant damage to regions like Nalgonda district. He pointedly questioned the credibility of those who joined TRS under KCR’s patronage.

The minister’s accusations didn’t stop there; he accused the former CM of exerting undue influence over authorities, leading to a climate of fear and mistrust. Venkatreddy highlighted concerns about widespread phone tapping, alleging that such practices were unprecedented and indicative of KCR’s politicization of governance.

As tensions escalate between political factions in Telangana, Venkatreddy’s comments underscore the deep-rooted animosity and ideological divide prevalent in the state’s political landscape.
