Raghunathapalem: The deaths of a mother and her two daughters in Raghunathapalem mandal, Khammam district, have been confirmed as murder. Police concluded that Boda Praveen Kumar killed his wife Kumari (25) and daughters Krishika (4) and Tanishka (3), staging the crime as a road accident.
The incident occurred on May 28 when Praveen, a doctor from Babojithanda, drove his family to Haryatanda. Their car reportedly veered off the road to avoid a dog, hitting a tree. Bystanders rescued the family, but the children were already dead. Kumari, though rushed to Khammam Government Hospital, was declared dead on arrival. Praveen sustained minor injuries.
Suspicion arose as no visible injuries were found on the victims. An empty syringe discovered in the car was analyzed, revealing a lethal dose of narcotics. Praveen’s phone contained searches on fatal narcotic dosages.
Based on the post-mortem and FSL reports, police arrested Praveen, charging him with murder.
