On the 29th of March, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) announced no water supply for the 1st of April. The Hyderabad water board released a notification regarding the same. The reason behind no supply of water is the junction work related to Krishna Drinking Water Supply Phase-I. To facilitate the flyover proposed between DLL, Chandrayangutta and Kandikal Gate, there will be a shutdown of the drinking water supply. In addition, the HMWSSB officials advised consumers to use water conservatively to avoid inconvenience.
According to the released notification, water supply would be affected in various parts from the 1st of April 6:00 A.M., to the 2nd of April 6:00 A.M.
The areas which would not receive water for 24 hours are: Miralam Reservoir, Kishan Bagh, supplies under O and M Division-I, Aliabad Reservoir, Aljubail Colony, Balapur Reservoir (partial supplies) under O and M Division-II, and reservoir commanding areas.
