Tension prevailed in Khammam after a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) activist died while undergoing treatment.
On the 16th of April, the Khammam police beefed up security at the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Minister Mr. Puvvada Ajay Kumar’s camp office and at the TRS office. The security was arranged after a BJP activist identified as Sai Ganesh reportedly attempted suicide on the 14th of April. He was undergoing treatment at Khammam Government Hospital but when his health deteriorated, Sai Ganesh was shifted to Hyderabad and died while undergoing treatment.
According to sources, BJP activist Sai Ganesh’s death created chaos as many BJP leaders, activists and workers rushed to the hospital and staged a dharna against the TRS Government alleging responsibility for the activist’s death.
Responding to the death of Sai Ganesh, the Nizamabad Member of Parliament (MP) Mr. Arvind took to his social media platforms and slammed the TRS Government over the death of a BJP activist. He said that the TRS Government led by Mr. K.Chandrashekar Rao did not like the way our activists worked and exposed the corruption by the Ministers and Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs.) He said Sai Ganesh was charged with illegal cases by police when he just expressed his views on a corrupted government under Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar. Unable to bear the torture of police and the TRS in illegal cases, the BJP activist Sai tried to commit suicide and later died at the State run hospital.
The BJP workers and leaders are demanding action against the TRS Minister Mr. Puvvada Ajay Kumar.
