Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed officials to prepare a comprehensive Child Online Safety Framework to protect children from cybercrimes and help them get justice.
The framework will be prepared in consultation with the Telangana High Court and the Telangana State Legal Services Authority (TGSLSA). Revanth Reddy gave the direction while addressing the National Legal Services Authority’s South Zone Regional Conference in Hyderabad on October 3.
The conference was held with the theme “Justice for Children in Cyberspace.” The Chief Minister called for parents to be involved in efforts to improve children’s online safety.
He urged parents and children to remember 1930 for cybercrime and 1098 for child help. He also asked parents to stay aware of their children’s online activities.
Revanth Reddy highlighted Bharosa centres, SHE-Bharosa Cyber Labs and the CybHER app as part of Telangana’s child safety efforts. He said the CybHER app is helping students and teachers learn about online safety.
