Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is set to take his political campaign to Sircilla on September 30, the Assembly constituency represented by BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR).
The Congress is preparing a large public meeting in Sircilla as part of its plan to take the political fight directly to key BRS strongholds. Revanth Reddy had earlier announced that he would visit Sircilla and later turn his attention to Siddipet, represented by former minister T Harish Rao.
Congress leaders have already started preparations for the September 30 meeting, including arrangements for large-scale mobilisation.
The upcoming visit has also triggered a political response from BRS. Government Whip and Vemulawada MLA Aadi Srinivas claimed that KTR was concerned about Revanth Reddy’s visit. He also said the meeting would mark the beginning of a political challenge for KTR in Sircilla.
The Congress plans to hold another major meeting in Siddipet next month, keeping its focus on the strongholds of senior BRS leaders.
