S.Saidi Reddy of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) on the 30th of October, took the oath of office as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Huzurnagar.
Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, the Speaker of the Telangana Assembly, administered the oath of office to S. Saidi Reddy.
The Huzurnagar Assembly constituency conducted its by election on the 21st of October and the results were announced on the 24th of October.
The TRS candidate won by 43,358 votes against the Indian National Congress (INC,) the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP.)
Before taking the oath, Saidi Reddy paid tribute to the Telangana Martyrs’ Memorial opposite the Assembly complex.
Mohammad Mahmood Ali, the Home Minister of Telangana, V. Prashant Reddy, the Legislative Affairs Minister and G. Jagadish Reddy, the Energy Minister of Telangana and other TRS officials were present during the oath taking ceremony.
