The Supreme Court is to review the petition filed by Ms. K. Kavitha, the Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS.)
According to sources, the Chief Justice of India (CJI) D.Y. Chandrachud would review the petition, filed against the Enforcement Directorate (ED’s) investigation in the Delhi Liquor Scam. Notably, the petition was filed a couple of days after the ED issued a summon to Ms. K. Kavitha, the daughter of Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana.
The summon was issued to investigate Ms. K. Kavitha, who has been named as a suspect in the Delhi Liquor Scam. She was asked to appear before the ED twice and was investigated about her role in the scam.
Now, the Apex Court would review the petition and announce its verdict into the matter.
