On the 17th of January, Monday, the South Central Railway (SCR) announced the cancellation of 36 Multi-Modal Transport System (MMTS) train services. The temporary cancellation of the MMTS train was due to track maintenance and operational reasons.
According to sources, of the total 36 services, 18 were between Lingampally and Hyderabad, 2 services between Secunderabad and Lingampally and 16 services between Falaknuma and Lingapally have been cancelled. The services have been cancelled for just one day, the 17th of January and would resume again from the 18th of January. However, the remaining MMTS services on different routes would function normally.
The SCR also asked passengers to understand the need and take an alternative route for the day.
