In Telangana’s Asifabad region, a female teacher working with a government school has been suspended.
According to sources, P. Savitha, a government teacher at Babapur-Gangapur village school in Chintalamanepalli Mandal, allegedly shared objectionable pictures of girl student. She was placed under suspension for alleged dereliction of duties.
Mr. Ashok, the District Educational Officer issued an order to this effect, on the 6th of December, Tuesday.
Working as an assistant of a High School in Babapur-Gangapur village, Ms. P. Savitha allegedly took photographs and videos of the girl students and was sharing them with unknown persons.
The teacher was alleged to have discussed the consumption of liquor with students and was encouraging them to wear short dresses. Furthermore, Ms. P. Savitha even forced the students to speak to strangers over the phone. The matter came into light after the student union staged a dharna and raised voice against P. Savitha, demanding her suspension.
