In Telangana’s Kumuram Bheem Asifabad region, a 12 year old tribal boy, studying in class V at a tribal welfare department’s school in Tiryani Mandal centre, died of fever.
The tribal boy identified as Tekam Ramesh was suffering from a high fever and took his last breath while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Goleti village of Rebbena Mandal. He was down with a fever for a couple of days, following which Ramesh’s parents took him to the hospital, on the 28th of August.
Notably, Tekam Ramesh is the fourth death case due to fever in Kumuram Bheem Asifabad. On Wednesday, the 31st of August, Lavudya Sangeetha a 19 year old student of Bachelors of Science (BSC) second year at the Tribal Welfare Degree College in Asifabad, died of fever. Another person named Alam Rajesh (15,) an inmate of a hostel run by the tribal welfare department at Yellur village in Penchikalpet Mandal also died due to fever.
In addition, one Gomasa Ashwini (10), a Grade V student at a social welfare residential school in Sirpur (T) Mandal centre also was diagnosed with fever and died while undergoing treatment.
The deaths due to mysterious fever is raising concern and fear amongst people of the district.
