On the 24th of December, the Telangana Police registered a complaint against an assistant professor of an engineering college at Petbasheerabad, Telangana.
According to the police complaint, the professor identified as M. Venkataiah, was alleged of assaulting a student.
The incident took place on the 24th of December, when Venkataiah, who is a lab in charge called a second year student to the lab. He called the victim and exploited her sexually.
After reaching home the victim told about the incident to the parents, following which the victim along with her parents complained about the Telangana police.
The Police also sent the girl for medical examination.
The Police registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and launched an investigation for the same.
As of now, the accused is absconding.
