In Telangana’s Nizamabad region, an unfortunate incident occurred on the 17th of February, Friday.
In a tragic accident, 15 passengers of a private bus sustained injuries after the bus rammed into a parked truck on the highway passing through Perkit village in Armoor Mandal of Nizamabad district.
According to the sources, the bus was travelling from Raichur to Hyderabad when it collided with the parked lorry at the highway. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and shifted the injured to the Nizamabad government hospital.
Meanwhile, after an initial investigation, the police said the accident is suspected to have occurred due to the negligence of the bus driver, who fell asleep while driving.
A total of 38 passengers were travelling in the bus, of which 15 received serious injuries and others escaped the tragic accident.
A case has been registered and an investigation has been launched.
