The Telangana Medical department, on the night of the 14th of August, released a media bulletin regarding the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases.
According to the Telangana Health Department’s bulletin, 1,921 new cases with 9 new fatalities of the COVID-19 infection were reported in the last 24 hours.
Of the total 1,921 cases, 28 were from Adilabad, 34 from Bhadradri, 356 from areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation ( GHMC.)
Other places include 40 from Jagtial, 38 from Jangaon, 21 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 51 from Jogulamba Gadwal, 44 from Kamareddy, 73 from Karimnagar, 71 from Khammam, 17 from Komaram Bheem Asifabad, 48 from Mahabubnagar, 38 from Mahabubabad, 18 from Mancherial, 39 from Medak, 168 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 12 from Mulugu, 26 from Nagarkurnool, 73 from Nalgonda, 6 from Narayanpet, 37 from Nirmal, 63 from Nizamabad, 54 from Peddapalli, 33 from Rajanna Sircilla, 134 from Rangareddy, 90 from Sangareddy, 63 from Siddipet, 47 from Suryapet, 14 from Vikarabad, 41 from Wanaparthy, 54 from Warangal Rural, 74 from Warangal Urban and 16 from Yadadri Bhongir.
Till the 14th of August, this is the 14th consecutive day with a spike with more than 1,000 cases.
On the morning of the 10th of August, 1,256 cases were registered in a day and on the 11th of August, the single day spike was 1,896 on the 12th of August, the cases reported were 1,897 and on the 13th of August, cases were 1,931.
On the 14th of August, with 1,921 new cases, the total reached 88,396 cases. With 9 new fatalities, the total stands at 674. In addition, with 1,210 numbers, total recovered cases reported till date are 64,284.
With these updates, Telangana has 88,396 positive cases, of which 23,438 are active cases, 64,284 are recovered/discharged cases and 674 deceased.
Out of the 23,438 patients, 16,439 patients are under home isolation and 6,999 are in institutional care.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Health authorities conducted 22,046 tests till the night of the 13th of August.
Of the total 22,046 tests, COVID-19 results of 1,151 samples are pending.
So far, 7,11,196 samples have been tested for the Novel Coronavirus infection in Telangana.
With the everyday spike in the Novel Coronavirus cases, the recovery rate in Telangana is now 72.70 % from the previous b72.90 %.
In addition, mortality rate is 0.80% since the 5th of August and growth rate to 2.60 % from the previous 2.70 %.
Meanwhile, K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, urged the Central Government to increase medical facilities for better treatment for the Novel Coronavirus.
