The Telangana Government, on the 1st of January, inaugurated the 80th edition of the exhibition ‘Numaish’ in Nampally, Hyderabad, Telangana.

Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) ministers and the President of the Exhibition Society inaugurated Numaish Masnuaat e Mulki, officially known as the All India Industrial Exhibition.  Etela Rajender, the State Health Minister, Mohammad Mahmood Ali, the State Home Minister, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, the Animal Husbandry Minister and others were present during the inauguration of the event.

Etela Rajender said, “Hyderabad Numaish is very popular across the Country. If we come in January, we are going to make Hyderabad a reminder.”

Organised annually at the Nampally Exhibition Grounds, the exhibition is one of the unique ones in India.

The event is famous for its unique designs and traders who put forth numerous kinds of textile from across India.  This year, Numaish would have more than 2,000 stalls for 45 days.

The exhibition was inaugurated after the Telangana High Court granted permission for the same.  A bench of judges, led by Chief Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan and Justice A. Abhishek Reddy, granted the permission based on a PIL filed by Khaja Aijazuddin.

The permission to organise the exhibition came on the 31st of December, 2019, following which, the next day, the Numaish Association inaugurated the event.

The edition of Numaish would last until the 15th of February, 2020.
