Telangana Government To Discuss Lockdown Extension On 5th May

The elangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS)T Government called for a Cabinet meeting on the 5th of May.

The meeting is organised to be held at pragati Bhavan, two days before the state wide lockdown is proposed to end.  During the meeting, K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana would discuss the ongoing situation due to the pandemic illness, the Novel Coronavirus and decide upon the extension of the lockdown.

If sources are to be believed, the red zones would continue the lockdown and the green zones would enjoy some relaxation.   

K. Chandrashekar Rao also said, the State is seeing a dip in the daily COVID-19 cases by 3 % and the majority of the districts would be COVID-19 free soon.  Currently, 11 districts of total 33 districts inTelangana are COVID-19 infection free and the majority of cases are from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC.) 

The GHMC has a total of 548 cases of the Novel Coronavirus infection, followed by Suryapet (83,) Nizamabad (61) and Jogulamba Gadwal (45) till date.

Meanwhile, total cases in Telangana stood at 1,038 with 28 fatalities till the 1st of May.
