After the Union Home Secretary, Preeti Sudan wrote to all the state governments to take the necessary steps and chalk out an exit plan for the lockdown, Telangana listed red and orange zones.
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government, on the 1s of May, released a list of districts which are designated as red and orange zones for the spread of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
The list was released days before the nation wide lockdown is scheduled to end. Prime Minister Narendra Modi imposed a nation wide lockdown on the 24th of March, which is proposed to end on the 3rd of May. However, the Telangana Government extended the lockdown to the 7th of May, as a precautionary measure to fight the Novel Coronavirus.
