Telangana Health Minister Inaugurates Stem Cells Laboratory At NIMS

Etela Rajender, the Health Minister of Telangana, on the 2nd of October, inaugurated stem cells laboratory at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) in Hyderabad.

The launched laboratory would help to conduct more than 10,000 blood tests per day.

The lab would be helpful for those suffering from blood cancer.

Mr. Rajender said, “The government gives the highest priority to the health of the poor and the NIMS will be developed further with all the infrastructure.”

Mr. Rajender said, the out-patient department is being developed at a cost of Rs. 250 crore.

Mr. Rajender added, due to the pandemic crisis, nearly 40 lakh people have developed antibodies and they have recovered. He said, “While many are showcasing the symptoms of the corona, some are asymptomatic to the virus. People must be aware of the thing and strictly adhere to the protocols to keep the virus at bay.”

In the view of the rising coronavirus cases, the State Government also enhanced the facilities at the hospitals and also developed Telangana Institute of Medical Science (TIMS) and is also planning to develop hospitals in and around Hyderabad.

As of now, Telangana reported as many as 1.92 lakh cases of the Novel Coronavirus.
