Telangana – Man Fined For Not Wearing Face Mask

A Man in Kamareddy area of Telangana was fined Rs. 500 for not wearing face mask in public.

On the 6th of May, the Kamareddy police officials caught the man moving in the town without wearing a face mask.

Recently, in the wake of the increasing cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 in the State, the Telangana Government announced wearing of face masks mandatory.  The State Government also banned spitting on the roads in Telangana.

Despite the Government’s Orders, many were found without face masks.  In regard to this, the Kamareddy authorities concerned for tackling the COVID-19 situation issued an order, imposing a fine of Rs. 500 for not wearing face masks.

The authorities are also distributing face masks to needy with the help of Self Help Groups (SHGs,) who are making masks free of cost, creating awareness of the COVID-19 in the State.

Meanwhile, Telangana reported a total of 1,096 cases of the Novel Coronavirus with 29 fatalities, 429 active cases and 638 recoveries/ discharged till the 6th of May.
