Andhra Pradesh, on the 6th of May, reported 60 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
With the new cases, the total cases of the Novel Coronavirus in the State stood at 1,777 with 36 fatalities.
Out of the 60 new cases, 17 are from Kurnool, 12 from Guntur, 14 from Krishna district, 1 from Kadapa, 2 from Visakhapatnam and the remaining 13 in A.P., are visiting from other states .
While 12 people who tested positive for COVID-19 are from Gujarat, 1 individual is a native of Karnataka.
In Andhra Pradesh, Kurnool, Guntur, Krishna, Nellore, Kadapa and Chittoor have the highest number of COVID-19 cases.
Kurnool – 533 cases.
Guntur -363 cases.
Krishna- 300 cases.
Nellore- 92 cases.
Kadapa -90 cases.
Chittoor – 82 cases.
Though Andhra Pradesh is reporting a minimum 50 COVID-19 cases every day, the State also witnessed the highest number of recoveries (140) in a day taking the total to 729.
Meanwhile, the State also intensified COVID-19 tests in Andhra Pradesh and implemented strict lockdown rules in Red Zones of the State.
