K.T. Rama Rao, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister of Telangana, on the 9th of November inaugurated several development projects in Hyderabad.

According to the MA&UD Ministry of Telangana, KTR first laid the foundation for an underpass and inaugurated three link roads in different parts of Hyderabad.

During the inauguration, Mr. Rao said, “35 link roads are being laid in the first phase and the Government sanctioned Rs. 313. 65 crores for the construction of the link roads.”

In total, 137 link roads would be constructed in the City. Of the total, 35 would be constructed in the first phase.

Speaking about the construction of the link roads, Mr. Rao said, “The road built from Jubilee Hills to the leather park was constructed within six months and will be developed as necklace road.”

These link roads in Hyderabad would help to reduce traffic and ease the vehicular movement of people in the City.

In addition, environmental pollution would also reduce with these newly constructed link roads.

So far, three link roads are between Road No.45 to Mumbai old road (Leather Park) in Nandi Hills, link road between Mumbai old road via ESCI DPC at Khajaguda (Rs. 19.51 crores) and link road between Miyapur and Nizampet worth Rs. 7.75 crores.

Today’s link roads were developed by the Hyderabad Road Development Corporation Limited (HRDCL) at a total cost of Rs.46.36 crores.

Later, KTR would also inaugurate Leather park (project cost Rs. 15.54 crore), followed by laying foundation stone for underpass bridge near Leather park worth Rs.23.10 crores.
