On the night of the 23rd of July, the Telangana Health department released a media bulletin and confirmed 1,567 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
Out of the 1567 new Covid-19 infections, areas under GHMC reported 662 positive cases while 213 cases were reported from Rangareddy and 33 from Medchal. These three areas are also the containment zones for the spread of the virus.
In addition, the State also reported nine fatalities taking the overall toll to 447.
With these updates, Telangana has a total of and the total positive cases to 50,826. Of the total, 11,052 are active cases and 39,327 are recovered/discharged cases.
According to the daily health bulletin, 1,661 persons have recovered in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, till now, the health authorities have conducted tests on 3,22,326 samples with a cumulative positivity rate of 15.8 per cent.
Despite new cases, Telangana is one of the Indian states with a high recovery rate of 77.38%.
The mortality rate in Telangana due to the Novel Coronavirus 0.88% and average growth of rate is 3%.
