In Telangana’s Hyderabad, a woman was left injured after her stalker attacked her with a knife.
According to sources, on the 27th of May, Friday, a scary incident of an attempt to murder happened on Hafiz Baba Nagar road in Old Hyderabad. An unidentified man attacked a married woman (48) with a knife. She was critically injured and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she is undergoing treatment.
The Hyderabad police got to know about the incident through social media, after a video of the incident went viral. In the viral video, the accused could be seen chasing a burqa-clad woman and attacking her from behind. He did not stop even after she collapsed and continued stabbing her as people watched in horror.
In addition, the Police registered a case under the relevant section of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and launched an investigation into the matter. The police also confirmed to form five teams to nab the absconding accused.
Meanwhile, after a preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the woman, a mother of six children, was being harassed and stalked by her neighbor. In the past, the woman even lodged a harassment complaint against the neighbor, following which he was arrested, but released later.
This is not the first time such an incident has happened in the Telugu State of Telangana. In the past few days, many such incidents were reported the past month, where women’s security has been at stake with such gruesome attacks.
