Amid the Bharat Jodo Yatra, the Telangana Police issued traffic diversions in certain regions of Telangana.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra is a nationwide padayatra, started on the 7th of September from Tamil Nadu, against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Central Government, alleging them of spreading hatred in India. 

The yatra, launched by Mr. Rahul Gandhi aims to promote harmony and brotherhood in India. The foot march would also raise the issues of rising consumer prices and unemployment under the leadership of Mr. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India.

The yatra which recently covered Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, respectively now entered Telangana. 

According to sources, the diversion has been issued for the next four days, till the 2nd of November.  On Monday, the 31st of October, there would be a traffic diversion at Shadnagar between 6: 00 A.M., and 3:00 P.M. 

Issued traffic diversion:

Traffic from Pargi would be diverted at Shadnagar Crossroad, BSNL office, Keshampet Railway Gate and enter at NH-44.  Traffic from Hyderabad towards Shadnagar town has been diverted at Kothur Y Junction on NH-44 Road, JP Darga Crossroads, Nandigama (Mekaguda) – Duskal X Road and Keshampet Crossroads.  Traffic from Shadnagar towards Hyderabad would be diverted at Chattanpally Railway Station Road and Keshampet Railway gate Vehicles from Jadcherla and Shadnagar would be allowed on only one lane and the other lane will be for a procession from Kothur Crossroads, Timmapur, Chegur T Junction, Palamakula between 3:00 P.M.,  and 8:00 P.M.

Traffic from Bengaluru towards Shamshabad would be diverted at Palamakula village towards JIVA Astramam, Golluru Crossroads, Shankarapuram village, Sangiguda junction, ORR Service Road, Pedda Golconda tollgate, Bahadurguda village, Gollapally, Kishanguda flyover on the 1st of November, between 6:00 A.M., to 10: 00 P.M.

Traffic from Bengaluru towards Hyderabad would be diverted at Thondupally tollgate towards Rallaguda Service Road, Rallaguda Junction, Airport Colony Junction, Rajiv Gruha Kalpa Junction, ORR Underpass, Simplex Junction, Sathamrai and Gaganpahad, on the 2nd of November, Wednesday.

Notably, in Telangana, the INC delegation led by Mr. Rahul Gandhi would cover 19 assembly constituencies and seven Parliamentary constituencies for a distance of 375 km, before entering Maharashtra on the 7th of November.
