Rajkumar, a student from Jiyaguda committed suicide on the 19th of April, Tuesday after facing harassment by online money lenders. The online loan app facilities once again started harassing borrowers, which resulted in tragic suicide in Telangana.
Getting into the details, Rajkumar needed to pay a loan amount, which he had taken from his friend. To repay his friend’s debt, he took a loan of Rs. 12,000 from the online loan app. However, he was unable to repay the loan amount and was being harassed by the loan people. Later, after days of humiliation and constant calls from the lenders, Rajkumar took the drastic step and hanged himself to death.
After the incident, the police were informed and they rushed to the spot. The victim’s body was shifted to a nearby government hospital for postmortem. The police registered a case and launched an investigation. In addition, they are also likely to approach the online loan app holders and interrogate them in this regard.
