At least four passengers were injured at the Warangal railway station in Telangana when a water tank collapsed on Friday, the 14th of July.  The incident took place on platform number one, where the passengers were waiting for their train.

According to sources, the overhead water tank with a capacity of 64,000 litres collapsed, causing the GI sheets to cave in and water to pour down on the passengers.  As a result, the individuals were swept onto the tracks and sustained injuries.

The injured passengers were immediately taken to MGM Hospital, where two of them were discharged after receiving first aid.

The railway authorities provided compensation of Rs. 25,000 each to these individuals. The remaining two injured passengers, both senior citizens, are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Furthermore, the Railway officials have assured that the necessary medical care will be provided, and the railways will bear the entire cost of treatment.

Additionally, a compensation of Rs. 1 lakh is being granted to the injured individuals.
