On Thursday, the 28th of October, Telangana reported 171 new cases with one death and 201 recoveries. The new cases were confirmed by conducting 38,373 sample tests for the COVID-19 infection.
On Wednesday, the State Health Department conducted more than 40,000 tests (41,392) for COVID-19. However, the number reduced a day after with below 40,000 tests.
With the tests conducted in the past 24 hours, the State Health Department crossed 2.75 crore COVID-19 tests till date.
The aforementioned data was confirmed through a health bulletin, released by the Telangana Health Department, on a regular basis. The media bulletin of the State Health Department which is being released in the evenings regularly, updates about the COVID-19 situation in Telangana.
According to the COVID-19 data, despite the low number of cases, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) region continues to report more than 50 cases regularly. In the past 24 hours, the GHMC limit reported 58 cases, the highest number of the Wuhan virus cases.

The recovery rate of Telangana also fell to 98.79 % from the previous 98.81 %. However, the fatality rate of COVID-19 remained constant for the past four and half months at 0.58 %.
