The students of the Telangana Open School Society (TOSS) who were to give Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Intermediate were promoted.
Recently, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government cancelled the TOSS SSC and the Intermediate examinations for the academic year 2021. In regard to this, on the 29th of June, the Telangana Government issued a notice and awarded 35 % marks in each subject to all the students.
In addition, the K. Chandrshekar Rao Government asked the TOSS officials to release the results for all the students, eligible to appear for the TOSS SSC and Intermediate public exams in July. Initially, the TOSS exams were scheduled to be held in July. However, due to the Novel Coronavirus pandemic, the State Government cancelled the exams.
With this, approximately 63,581 TOSS SSC students and 47,392 Intermediate students were passed by the TRS Government. It is to be noted, the order to pass all the students is applicable to this year only in view of the Wuhan virus pandemic.
After cancelling the SSC and the Intermediate exams for the Telangana schools, the TRS Government formed a seven member committee for the TOSS SSC and the Intermediate exams.
After receiving their suggestions and modalities, the Telangana Government permitted to announce TOSS results without exams. The committee unanimously suggested declaring all TOSS eligible candidates for public exams in July as passed.
The issued order regarding the same read, “Such Intermediate (TOSS) candidates of July 2021, who have been qualified in the various entrance examinations at State and National level / management quota and will be appearing for counselling session shall be treated as having minimum required percentage of marks at Intermediate level as prescribed by concerned authorities/Deemed to be Universities/other Private Universities recognized by UGC.”
However, the candidates who wish to improve their scores could give immediate subsequent public exams only of TOSS, whenever conducted subject to conditions of improvement rules of the TOSS.
All the necessary action and announcement of results would be taken by the Director of the TOSS.
