TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy Met Governor Of Telangana

Uttam Kumar Reddy, the President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TCC,) on the 4th of May met Tamilisai Soundararajan, the Governor of Telangana.

The meeting was scheduled at Raj Bhavan, Hyderabad to discuss and complain about the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government for acting carelessly to control the Novel Coronavirus in the State.

The TPCC President also raised farmers’ issues and many other issues related to the Novel Coronavirus illness in the State. After the meeting, Uttam Kumar Reddy, addressed the media and briefed about the discussions between Ms. Soundararajan and Mr. Reddy.

 Uttam Kumar Reddy said, he was discussing the increasing number of COVID-19 cases and  why the State Government is not conducting rapid  tests for Coronavirus in the State.  Despite having better medical facilities and teams, the State is not conducting a large number of tests for the virus.  He demanded to know how many tests are being done according to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) guidelines and why it is not being done in hospitals sanctioned by ICMR.

In addition, Uttam Kumar Reddy has demanded an ex-gratia grant to the patients dying due to COVID-19 in the State.

Meanwhile, Telangana recorded a total of 1,082 cases of the Novel Cornavirus with 29  fatalities till date.
