The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) on the 26th of October, decided to meet the Telangana State Run Transport Corporation (TSRTC) Joint Action Committee (JAC) and union leaders.
The meeting between the constituted committee of the TRS and the TSRTC leaders is scheduled to be held at 2:00 P.M., in Redmanjill, Telangana.
Puvvada Ajay Kumar, the Transport Minister of Telangana, Sunil Sharma, the Managing Director of the RTC and other officials of the Party are scheduled to attend the meeting.
The meeting was scheduled after the committee, which was constituted to look into the demands of the TSRTC employees, reviewed the demands and submitted a report about the same. The committee submitted its report to Sunil Sharma, who handed over the report to Puvvada Ajay. Puvvada Ajay later submitted the report to K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana.
On the 26th of October, based on the report of the committee, KCR and other officials of the Transport Department would hold talks with the employees and consider their demands.
However, the TRS Government made it clear it would not consider the demand of merging the TSRTC with the State Government.
The TSRTC employees’ strike entered its 21st day on the 26th of October. The strike started on the 5th of October.
