Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister of Telangana, inaugurated an agri innovation hub at the Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agriculture University (PJTSAU.)
On the 30th of August, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Minister launched the new agricultural innovation centre, also the housing of agriculture incubators.
During the inauguration event, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao highlighted the achievements of the TRS Government in the agricultural sector, benefiting farmers of the State. He said under the supervision of the State Agricultural Minister Mr. Nirajan Reddy, Telangana ranked 1st in India, to have the highest oil palm cultivation.
The MA&UD Minister said, the K. Chandrashekar Rao Government set a goal of growing oil palm on 20 lakh acres in the state in order to help farmers and attract similar agro based businesses to the state. He said, “It will provide job possibilities.”
Meanwhile, the AgHub (Agri Hub) focuses on innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, research ecosystem, and rural innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem, providing entrepreneurship for agri business in Telangana.
Today’s inauguration event was attended by the Education Minister of Telangana Ms. P. Sabitha Indra Reddy, the Telangana Rythu Bandhu Samiti chairman and MLC Dr. P Rajeshwar Reddy and National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD,) Chairman Dr. Govinda Rajulu Chintala.
