The ongoing tussle between the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) continues to worsen.
On the 13th of November, a TSRTC bus driver committed suicide. The reason behind his extreme step was the ongoing TSRTC strike.
Avila Naresh, 45 years old, took his life by consuming a pesticide in the early hours of the 13th of November. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but died on the way.
Naresh was working with the TSRTC for the last 15 years.
Naresh was a resident of Yellampet village and was disappointed with the strike, which entered its 40th day on the 13th of November.
Naresh is not the first one to take the drastic step of ending his life. As many as 3 other TSRTC employees, dejected with the strike, committed suicide and 10 died of heart attack.
The TSRTC strike started on the 5th of October and is likely to continue until the State Government agrees to the demands of the TSRTC employees.
