On the 23rd of January, Monday, the Twitter handle of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has been hacked.
The TSRTC issued an official statement in this regard, “This is unfortunate incident which happened despite taking all safety measures. We do not endorse any tweets from our handle.”
According to sources, the Managing Director of the TSRTC (@tsrtcmdoffice) confirmed the news that the TSRTC Twitter handle was hacked. It is to be noted, unidentified people had allegedly hacked the account on Sunday night and started tweeting from the handle from Monday.
Citizens, who realized that the account was hacked, immediately alerted the TSRTC authorities, following which the officials informed the same.
The RTC authorities said they were working with Twitter support for resolving the issue at the earliest. No police complaint was lodged in this regard.
