Mr. K.T Rama Rao, the Information Technology and Urban Development Minister, responded to a tweet of a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Mr. Prashant Yadav, questioning the construction progress of a temple that was demolished.
Notably, a temple in Old City was demolished for the construction of the new Telangana Secretariat. In regard to this, the TDP leader questioned and asked, if the temple which was demolished would be constructed. Responding to his tweet, KTR assured to construct a new temple at the new State Secretariat complex along with a mosque and a church. The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Minister said, “Mandir Bhi Banega, Masjid Bhi Banega aur Church Bhi Banega! Aap Befikar Rahiye !! This is Telangana under the leadership of #KCR who respects all faiths equally & doesn’t indulge in politics in the guise of Religion.”
In 2021, during the demolition of the old secretariat, the Telangana Government demolished two mosques and one temple. However, the K. Chandrashekar Rao-led TRS Government assured the reconstruction of the temple and mosques.
